How to use the App

Navigation Help

Refresh: If the app seems stuck or isn't working properly, tap the refresh icon (↻) in the top right to refresh.

User Menu: Tap to view your info, contact support, or sign out.

How to Check In

  • First, park safely near the school. You need to be within 500 feet of the campus.
  • Tap the big button that says “TAP HERE TO CHECK-IN”. Your specific pickup ID is shown on the button. This tells the school you’re here.
  • When you tap the Check-In button for the first time, your phone will ask for permission to use your location. Please choose "Allow While Using App" or "Allow" when prompted. This is essential to confirm you are at the school.

  • You can only check in during these times:
    • Mon–Thur: 2:40 PM – 3:15 PM
    • Fridays & Half Days: 11:40 AM – 12:15 PM
  • If you’re picking up more than one student, you’ll see a dropdown above the check-in button with a list of ID numbers and corresponding names. Select one at a time and check in for each.
  • If you're not sure what to do or something isn’t working, please go to the front desk and ask for help. They’re happy to assist!
Fix Location Permission Issues

YOU MUST ENABLE "PRECISE LOCATION": This app requires your exact location to verify you are at the school. Approximate location will not work.

Step 0: Close Everything First

Before changing settings, ensure the app isn't "sleeping" in the background:

  1. Close all browser tabs with this app open.
  2. Force Close: Swipe up from bottom (or double-click home) and swipe the app/browser card away.

Still Stuck? Use the "Reset Trick"

  1. Delete the app icon from your Home Screen.
  2. Open browser, log in, and choose "Allow" and "Precise".
  3. Once it works, "Add to Home Screen" again.

iPhone (iOS) Instructions

1. The "Toggle Refresh"

This "nudges" the phone to reset its sensors:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Toggle the main switch OFF, wait 5 seconds, then ON.
  2. Go to Settings > Safari > Location. Toggle this to "Deny" then back to "Allow".

2. If Using the Browser (Safari)

  1. Tap the Website Settings icon (safari settings icon or AA) to the left of the URL.
  2. Tap Location and choose "Allow".

3. Check Precise Location

  1. In iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services, tap Safari Websites.
  2. Ensure “While Using the App” is checked and “Precise Location” is Green/ON.

Android Instructions

1. Refresh your Sensors

  1. Swipe down the top menu and toggle Location/GPS icon OFF and ON.
  2. In Settings > Apps > Chrome > Permissions > Location, toggle the permission off and then back to "Allow only while using the app."

2. If Using the Browser (Chrome)

  1. Tap the tune icon (tune icon) or lock icon to the left of the URL.
  2. Tap Permissions and turn Location switch ON.
  3. Important: Always select "Precise" in the popup.

3. Unblocking in Site Settings

  1. Open Chrome > 3 dots (⋮) > Settings > Site settings > Location.
  2. Tap schoolcheckinapp.com under "Blocked" and change it to "Allow."

Final Step: Tap the Refresh Icon (↻) in the top right after fixing settings.

Install App to Home Screen

Add our app to your home screen for quick access, just like a native app!

iOS (iPhone)

  1. Tap the Share button (iOS Share Icon).
  2. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  3. Name the app (e.g., "Check-In") and tap "Add".

Android (Chrome)

  1. Tap the Menu button
    (three dots ⋮) in the bottom-right or top-right corner.
  2. Select "Install" or "Add to Home screen".

Using Safari:

  • Tap the Share button.
  • Tap "Add Bookmark".
  • Choose where to save it, then tap "Save".

Using Chrome:

  • Tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner.
  • Select "Bookmark".
  • The page is saved.
  • Using Firefox:

Using Firefox:

  • Tap the three lines in the bottom-right corner.
  • Select "Add to Bookmarks".
  • Confirm by tapping "Save".

Android

Using Chrome:

  • Tap the star icon in the address bar.
  • The page is saved to your bookmarks.

Using Firefox:

  • Tap the star icon next to the address bar.
  • The page is bookmarked.
